MYTH 1) You do Orthodontics when you are older and have all adult teeth in.ย
FACT 1) Orthodontists must evaluate children as early as age 7 to detect potential orthodontic issues and may recommend early intervention, which can prevent more serious problems from developing later on. Seeing your child at age 7 does NOT necessarily mean we will start treatment, but we will conduct a complimentary exam to provide peace of mind and ensure there are no early intervention needs or the need for early treatment.
MYTH 2) Orthodontics is ONLY for kids!!
FACT 2) You are never too old for orthodontic treatment.ย The physiological process of moving teeth through bone into their desired position occurs during treatment regardless of whether it is in a child or an adult. Today, many adults opt for treatment to achieve a healthy, straight smile, boosting confidence and enhancing overall appearance.
MYTH 3) Orthodontics is too expensive.ย
